Old houses, old systems
Whole blocks of Queens, Brooklyn, and Staten Island were built before the city main reached them, and plenty still run on cesspools and septic systems. It's the work we were founded on.
- Most systems run three to five years between pumpouts. Heavy use runs shorter.
- We measure the sludge level and set the schedule off what's actually in the tank.
- Additives don't replace pumping. Some help between visits; we'll tell you which.
- Slow drains, gurgling, damp ground over the system: call before it gets worse.
