The company

Since 1975, A&L has cleaned the city's grease traps, pumped its cesspools, and cleared its sewers and drains. Municipalities, businesses, and homes, all five NYC boroughs and Nassau County.

The work hasn't changed much. The scale has. What started as a cesspool route is now seven vehicle configurations, a grease waste transfer station in Long Island City, and a schedule that runs day and night. Family owned the whole way, and run today by the third generation.

Our 1,500 gallon tanker. Narrow streets, smaller traps, and the blocks where a full tanker can't get in.

Grease box trucks

Portable machines, dispatched on a box truck for the traps a hose can't reach: upper floors, kitchens with no street access, or when you'd rather not run a hose through the dining room.

Grease waste is our business

A&L Recycling is our grease waste division. It runs our transfer station in Long Island City: trap waste and used cooking oil come in, biodiesel feedstock goes out.

Nobody hauls your trap waste out of the city and bills you for the miles. The paperwork ends where the waste ends.
